- 刺眼的外灘

不是親眼看到還不知道外灘這樣刺眼。浦西的租界建築像一個個老人家，每晚站在那裡被射燈照著，依然很有尊嚴很驕傲，可是已經沒什意思；浦東意氣風發，天還未黑齊已耐不住要向大家展示他的光他的亮，異常浮誇。今時今日的上海是否還需要這樣「炫」「耀」呢？上海可以展示世界的不止於一夜耀目吧？

冷氣機靜靜的呼吸著，太陽也識相地不來打擾，我們躺在那張舒服得過份的沙發上，一句沒一句地聊著。原本很美好的下午，世界彷彿只有你和我｜｜一想到這裡便感覺眩暈。
那一刻我就想逃出去。
我需要新鮮空氣。

化妝專櫃的小姐說：「很多像你這年紀的女生都選這個。」「這樣的年紀？那是什麼年紀？」我好奇。化妝小姐尷尬的笑了笑：「就是廿來歲的OL呀。」她把我說成OL。第一次聽到陌生人這樣稱呼／標籤自己。口裡還說著那種第日大個要點點點的話，其實在世界眼裡我已經是一個大人，一個OL。從前旅行＝背著40L帶著500蚊美金去流浪，現在是一個OL在免稅店發狂買CHANEL粉底。旅行箱放著恤衫西褲高跟鞋，也有爛T-shirt和20L backpack。我到底應該像個大人｜｜上餐廳，喝紅酒；抑或應該像個細路，住YHA喝平啤酒？填「入境目的」時才記起這是一趟「公幹」而不是「旅行」，腳踢converse面塗CHANEL的我突然不知所措。

出發前兩星期開始四出打聽：上海是個怎樣的地方？大陸是個怎樣的地方？整個中國我只去過廣州和深圳，講國語的還是第一次去。聽說上海人很囂張，新天地很摩登，外灘很璀璨，聽說上海已經和香港一樣。聽說。對上海的認識僅限於張愛玲和小籠包。心情因此比第一次去歐洲還要緊張｜｜去歐洲你隱約知道該期待什麼，可是對上海，我連可以期待什麼也不知道。
