Sharing the same family name doesn’t make you a family. Family are people who take you as you are; who let you fall and pick you up piece by piece when you break; who share their wisdom with you but not to lecture you. They don’t speak love but most of the time they put your well-being before theirs. Home is where you find these people whom you cherish like you cherish the only light in the universe. You don’t go to a stranger and say, hi family. You love a family. You spend years (usually a life time) to build a family. Strangers do not die, they come and go. But family does. CNY is probably the time to see your family and be grateful for the fact that they are still around.
